My ship is loaded with furniture
Two or three times a week, container ships fully loaded with furniture leave the Ikornnes factory premises.
“It is never quiet here at the quayside. Every week, some 30 containers and 40 semi-trailers leave the factory” says Erling Opdahl jr., Warehouse Manager at Ekornes.
Almost one year ago, the construction started on a new building for dispatch which will enlarge today’s expedition by 1650 m2, and add 6 new loading ramps to the existing ramps and the container port used for shipping furniture. The new building is expected to be ready in February 2011.
