360° Swivel

Even our bases are designed for comfort Movement is essential when it comes to comfort. Your body doesn't naturally stay in one position for long. The Stressless® round base lets you swivel 360° while seated. The base is designed to give you movement with just a slight push of your foot. This is another example of how Stressless® keeps the details of your comfort in mind. The streamlined Stressless® double stem base makes Stressless® the most stable of all recliners that swivel. The design is a registered trademark and only available with Stressless® - this double stem ensures stability and ultimate comfort for you.

Most people want their furniture coordinated to enhance the style and feel of their homes. Previously this has been difficult to find all in one place. Stressless® and Ekornes® offer collections in matching styles, so that you can arrange your living space to suit your style and needs. Stressless® combines the very best comfort with perfect style.

The Glide system

Simply adjust the Stressless® Glide wheels to the setting of your desire. You can automatically shift to any seating position simply by using your body weight. The Glide system responds quickly and smoothly to your body movements. Look for the Stressless® logo on the signature wheel to ensure its authenticity.

Leather, Fabric & Wood

Our Stressless® recliners and sofas offer four types of leather and fabric to choose from in a full range of colors. The Stressless® base is made from European beech, and comes in a range of different finishes. Ottomans-adjustable comfort

The free-standing ottoman is an integral part of the Stressless® comfort concept of movement and relaxation. It is designed to provide comfort for everyone, regardless of size. When your body reclines, your legs move forward - now Stressless® ottomans have a new built-in glide function that moves with your legs, for extra comfort.

Plus™ System

The Plus system automatically provides correct support for your head and lumbar area in all positions. The lower back support adjusts in parallel with the headrest, so you can enjoy perfect support, whether you are sitting in an upright or reclining position. The headrest adjusts automatically, so you can read and watch TV even in a reclined position. You can also adjust the headrest with a simple hand movement to lie flat and relax.

Our designs come in different sizes

Small space - big comfort Eldorado and Granada are same in style but different in size. The Eldorado Collection is narrower, to accommodate smaller living areas. Plus, both sizes come with all the big comfort features you would expect from Stressless®. Each of our Stressless® and Ekornes® sofa collections are identified in two size groups to furnish your room setting.

An additional layer of soft space-age foam ensures optimum comfort. Super-soft Dacron fiber cushions your body and ensures an attractive look. Durable steel frame and flexo springs for superior resilience and continuous support. The Plus™ system provides continuous support for your head and lower back. Double-sided mechanism ensures maximum stability and functionality. Genuine top-grain leather covers the entire seat for a luxurious look and feel. Unique Stressless® glide system automatically adjusts to your body weight. Two-stem base adds superior stability. For maximum mobility, swivel actions lets you easily turn 360°.

10 year warranty on internal mechanism

We guarantee the internal mechanism of our recliners for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase of the product. The 10 year guarantee covers the Plus^™-system and the internal metal frame, including the metal springs and gliding system. It does not cover damage to leather or woodwork or any faults or damage caused by the use of the product other than in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, as well as any faults or damage arising from any repairs made by any persons not authorised by the manufacturer.

Elevator Ring

Give your Stressless a boost with our Elevator Ring. Gain nearly 1 ¼” of height and enhance your comfort.
Stressless Footstool Elevator Ring

The Stressless Ottoman Elevator Ring adds 1 ¼" to the height. Fits all free-standing ottomans produced after March 1, 2004.
Stressless Hard Floor Protector

Self-adhesive felt, sized to fit all signature ringbased Stressless recliners, keeps your wood or tile floors in pristine condition.

Ekornes fabrics are made from high quality materials that provide great durability. Whenever we choose a new fabric for Stressless and Ekornes Collection, they have to pass through extensive testing to comply with the strict Ekornes demands. Only the best textiles that can withstand "hard use" and "normal use" are accepted. For families with children we recommend "hard use".

Ekornes upholstery leather

Ekornes is one of Europe’s largest consumers of leather. We purchase the leather from selected tanneries all over the world. Our own inspectors take part in the leather selection, which is conducted in accordance with international norms for quality determination. The experience we have gained from this work is for your benefit when you buy Stressless or Ekornes leather furniture. Our leather is manufactured according to current laws, guidelines and recommendations relating to their utilisation properties, and for the use and content of chemicals and other substances. We are cooperating with recognised international institutions in this line of business to ensure that we are updated at all times with events relating to health, safety and the environment.
You can choose between these types of leather for Stressless or Ekornes furniture

BATICK
Batick is a corrected, pigment improved and grain embossed upholstery leather, which has had most of its natural marks removed. Batick may have a two-tone colour effect to liven up the surface. Batick is resistant to fading, although changes in colour will occur over time due to use and exposure to light. A protective layer of lacquer simplifies cleaning. Simple cleaning, excellent utilisation properties and a favourable price make Batick a good choice.

CLASSIC
CLASSIC is a corrected, pigment improved and grain embossed upholstery leather. Classic is somewhat thicker and has a larger pebbled grain than Batick. Most of its natural marks are removed. Also some of the Classic colours have a two-tone colour effect to liven up the surface. A protective layer of lacquer simplifies cleaning. Classic is a wise choice if you want leather with excellent utilisation properties and a robust structure.

PALOMA
Paloma is a slightly corrected leather with a combination of dyes and pigments that smoothes down some of the structure (the grain pattern) of the leather. The grain structure in Paloma may however vary a little at some parts of the furniture and also minor colour nuances may appear in the leather. Natural marks, scars and insect bites are natural and will appear in Paloma. A thin coat of lacquer gives Paloma some protection and simplifies cleaning, but Paloma does not have the same heavy duty quality and protection as Batick and Classic. Due to its soft, natural and comfortable expression, Paloma is a very popular choice.

ROYALIN
Royalin is the most exclusive of Ekornes’s leather types, but also the most vulnerable. Royalin is a type of leather with natural pebbled grain and structure, and may have minor colour nuances and some natural marks. This is characteristic for a natural material such as Royalin. A very light surface treatment provides a certain protection, but Royalin absorbs moisture easily, and is extra vulnerable to wear and tear, heat, sunlight, spills and perspiration. This requires greater care in use and more vulnerability to influence from direct contact with human skin (especially from neck/hair and hands). Royalin has the softness and a rich warm glow that characterise first classfurniture leather. Variances including grain pattern and colour are an inherent feature within Royalin leather and are a natural mark of high quality.

Important information if you are buying leather furniture:
As leather is a natural product, colour nuances are normal and colours might vary slightly from one product to another. The leather is sensitive to direct sunlight, stains and perspiration, and colour change will occur with time due to use and the effect of light. Marks left by scars and insect bites are a natural feature of leather with natural grain. Remember that furniture should be protected from direct sunlight and heating sources.

THE STRESSLESS BASE is made from laminated European beech, a light colored wood with an attractive grain, exceptionally suitable for staining in various colours. Also, the strength of the wood makes beech furniture extremely durable.
